… For Friday’s ’round the corner, calling out my name…
Never could tell what kind of day I’m going to have.
I was feeling good this morning despite my throat hurting and a splitting headache.
Got into I-15Southbound, a sign greeted me,
“Accident S/O 395 at Mojave. Expect delays.”
Wonder what S/O means? Somewhere Over? Anyways, I won’t be going anywhere in 395, I thought to myself.
Nearing Oak Hill, uh-oh… It’s that S/O again!
No escaping from it now.
South(B)Ound???
Downhill…
Hope everybody’s alright. It may be more serious than it looks like – got a helicopter on site:
Got to the Rancho Cucamonga station – seven minutes after the scheduled train departure.
This is a time when I wish I could’ve left the house a WEE bit earlier.

Mike, you see you’re over there and I’m here in the US, you could figure this out! I’m just a mess! This is what lack of sleep does – diminishing brain cells!

Diminishing Brain Cells – great name for a band! I could be wrong with that ‘South Of’ though!

It is! You can add this to your list! I’ll add it to mine as well. Remember, I thought of it. But you suggested it! Ha!

It’s my son who might nick your idea for he is a musician…a very fine one at that! I promise not to tell him though!

It’s alright. He can nick this one. Granted, he’s great. 🙂 Did he get it from you? Genetically, the dad passes on artistic abilities.

Sadly I cannot play or sing a note! Young George just got a first class music degree but has given up live performance so he can write, play all the instruments, mix and hopefully sell his songs to others – shame really as he is very good yet hates social media so marketing his dream is posing difficulties! Twat – he’s odd like me!

Has he got a website or youtube, the least?

Here you go, you’re obviously not 108 years old like I am. My son refuses to put his stuff on Soundcloud yet his university insisted he put some bits that he did for his songwriting module. His back catalogue is brilliant – much better than this one – yet until he’s re-done the lot and mastered them they lie dormant (twat). I’m rather proud of the chap but his reticence annoys me (he hates his voice but I don’t think it’s that bad). Obviously you don’t have to listen and please don’t think I’m pushing his music on you!

Sorry I meant motorcyclist. Also they sometimes put JSO which mean Just South Of….usually between exits. South of is kind of too general…

Limited-character signage! I find meself not snappy enough to catch its meaning.

He has no YouTube or anything but is in the process of designing his own website for when he starts his business (he has his back catalogue to re-record and master)

I shall tell him – his compositions of choice are generally electronic yet sometimes drifting back to heavy electric guitar from the times he played lead in his then band. My thanks to you for listening…all helps a young bloke out of uni in a panic about the future he will not admit yet it is plain to see!
