It took me a good hour and forty-five minutes just to get to Rancho Cucamonga this morning.

I remember, though, while driving down, feeling like it was Christmas and I’m back in the Philippines.

I remember the early mornings going to church for the Simbang Gabi (dawn mass) for nine days of novena.

Just like this.

Cold. Okay maybe not as cold.

Then the red twinkling lights! Cars whose emergency blinkers were on, as we were going down the (mountain) Cajon Pass, reminded me of the Christmas lights. Twinkling as if like an alarm clock ringing telling me to wake up.

My attention is really needed for this drive. I even turned my music down for I want all ears and eyes on the road.

Because the road is …

I just hope this fog won’t be here for nine days!
