Their tummies are hungry. Their skin is fuzzy. The mother is fussy and jumpy. But most of all, my golly, they are lovely! Every morning we’ve been checking up on them. A couple of weeks ago, my daughter found an empty nest (or so we thought) in one of our pine trees. Last Sunday, she was eager to go out into the back garden when the sun was out. A bit windy, though, but the sun was warm. I had forgotten about the nest, she hadn’t. She went to the tree and came back inside the house squealing around, “We have eggs! Two eggs!
